This Stainless Steel End Cover closes and seals the end of fluid equipment housings, pump and valve bodies, and process fluid containment assemblies. Weighing 1.3 kg with overall dimensions of 85 × 70 mm, it is produced through our in-house Silicone Sol Precision Casting process with solution treatment, then CNC machined on the center bore and sealing face.
Matech's one-stop approach, covering wax pattern making, silicone sol shell casting, solution heat treatment, CNC machining (center bore, sealing face, side ports), shot blasting and polishing, dimensional and surface inspection, and engineered packing, ensures this end cover offers excellent bore accuracy, tight sealing face flatness, and a polished corrosion-resistant surface — performing reliably in demanding fluid equipment applications.

Customization Options
Every casting project starts with your unique design and requirements. Whether it's iron, steel, or aluminum, we tailor every aspect of the manufacturing process to your exact specifications. Below are the key dimensions you can customize with Matech — your drawing is our only standard.
Our Advantages
Technical Advantages
Domed Geometry Cast to Near-Net Shape
The spherical profile of this end cover is formed directly in the silicone sol mold, so the polished exterior and internal fluid cavity need little or no machining. Material waste is reduced, machining time is shorter, and the dome surface stays uniform — an advantage sand casting cannot match for this geometry.
DFM Review Centered on Fluid-Contact Integrity
For a fluid equipment end cover, the internal cavity surface is as important as the sealing face. Our review examines wall thickness in the dome section, core stability for the internal cavity, and gate placement to keep porosity away from the fluid-contact surface and sealing zone.
Polishing Standard Defined Before Production
Because this cover is a visible fluid equipment component, cosmetic appearance is specified, not left to chance. Polishing and shot blasting are performed to a defined finish standard, with surface roughness verified on both exterior and fluid-contact surfaces before packing.
Material Advantages
316 Selected for Fluid Contact, Not Just Corrosion Resistance
The molybdenum content in SUS 316 is verified by spectrometer on every incoming batch. This is the element that provides resistance to chlorides, process chemicals, and crevice corrosion in the sealing zone — the failure mode that matters most for a fluid equipment end cover.
Solution Treatment Before Machining
The cast dome is solution treated to relieve solidification stress and homogenize the austenitic structure. This stabilizes the geometry before the center bore and sealing face are machined, reducing the risk of distortion that would compromise sealing.
Duplex and Higher Alloys Available for Aggressive Media
Where 316 is not sufficient — strong acids, high-chloride process streams, or elevated-temperature service — we can cast 2205 duplex or other high-alloy grades, adjusting the casting and heat treatment route to suit the fluid chemistry.
Service Advantages
Project Manager Tracks Both Casting and Cosmetic Requirements
A fluid equipment end cover combines functional sealing requirements with visible surface appearance. Your project manager coordinates the foundry, machine shop, and polishing team so both sets of requirements are met in one production flow.
First Article Includes Fluid-Contact Surface Data
Before batch production, we provide a first-article report covering center bore accuracy, sealing face flatness, side port position, internal cavity surface roughness, and material certification — the full set of data for a fluid-contact component.
Pilot Orders for New Fluid Equipment Designs
New end cover programs can start with pilot quantities to validate sealing performance and fit before volume production. Batch traceability and 24-hour quality response remain active through the part's production life.
