Used for the travel drive of crawler excavators and bulldozers. The cranked link design increases the load-bearing surface; And the thicker chain plates, thicker pins, carburized and quenched treatment ensure high tensile strength.

Used for scraper conveying and screed traction of asphalt pavers. The chain plates are reinforced, and attachments can be welded with wear-resistant layers, which can adapt to high-temperature asphalt environments.

A Systematic Design Approach—From Materials to Heat Treatment

Category Casting & Machining Parts Solution Conveyor Chain Solution
Material Selection Matech use different materials based on working conditions, such as wear-resistant alloy steel 30CrMnSi, ductile iron QT600-3, and cast steel ZG310-570. These materials give a good balance of strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Matech use high-strength alloy steels like 20CrMnTi and 40Cr. We can also add surface protection treatments based on the environment, to improve wear resistance and adaptability.
Structure Optimization Matech use replaceable tips on the bucket teeth; we optimize the ground contact area on track shoes; and we use hollow designs to reduce weight on pulleys. Matech enlarge the load-bearing surface on the bent plate chain; we make the chain plates thicker to increase fatigue strength and reduce the risk of breakage. We can also add sealing rings to keep dust out.
Heat Treatment Enhancement Matech use quenching and tempering, plus surface hardening (HRC 50–55), or carburizing and tempering. This increases surface wear resistance and maintains core toughness, making the parts suitable for high-impact conditions. Matech use carburizing and quenching on chain plates and pins. This increases surface hardness, improves wear resistance, and extends the service life.
